
CLASSIC CHAI
Needs no introduction. This no-contest tea is infused with cardamom, ginger, and fresh pepper. A super simple recipe for your everyday fix.
Servings: 2 Total Active Time: 15 minutes

1. Lightly smash peppercorn and cardamom. Add to a pot along with the grated ginger.
2. Add water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add tea leaves. Let boil for another 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. You may need to reduce the heat slightly to prevent it from boiling over.
4. Add milk and stir.
5. Let the milk boil until it's juust about to foam over. Turn down heat to medium-low and let simmer for another minute or two.
6. Remove from heat and strain into each cup.
7. Add sugar. Adjust to taste.
8. Stir and serve hot!

- 4 peppercorns
- 1 packed teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 4 teaspoons loose black tea
- 1 cup milk (ideally whole)
- 1 cup water
